Godfather by Mario Puzo

Hi All,

After finishing the Lopsang Rampa's Spiritual classics 'I Believe' an ' Third Eye'. I have started Godfather by Mario Puzo. The book's plot and author's characterization of Sicilian Don Corleone as God father is awesome. I am little bit slow reader. I will take time to finish a single book compared to other readers as i visualize things slowly and my sub vocalization while reading is not allowing to read at much better speed. I want to overcome that in future. I am working on that. The portayal of Don and his family as one of the major force in NY according to the book is good. Other than Don Corleone another character which inspired me more was Micheal Corleone, even though his toughness compared to Don was less. Some how it took 6 weeks to finish the story [:( ]. Don's guiding principle and calmness in handling tricky things and his influence among the big shots of America is absolutely superb (thanks for the author for having a scintillating plot). Altogether the experience was great. I am thought of reading more books in the coming days.. will meet you in my next blog about yet another fiction. Till then have a happy blog reading ( Which i will enjoy much).

Opening of theThird Eye

Yesterday I read 3 pages of Rampa’s The Third Eye. I was reading the part in which Rampa meets the Dalai Lama. He met Dalai Lama when he was 8 years old. The Dalai Lama is popularly referred as The Inmost One in Tibet. His Lamasery is in Potala. He was trained by his guru for meeting Inmost one. There are some of the quotes which I really liked from the book so far.

“ We must rehearse, we must make ourselves quite perfect in our approach”

The above quote is by Rampa when he is practicing the procedures and etiquettes one has to follow when meeting the Inmost One.

Some other quotes which inspired me a lot.

“Reading and Writing are the gates of all qualities”

“Writing is easy, all you do is stare at a blank sheet of paper until drops of blood from on your forehead”

So far I have covered 8 Chapters in ‘The Third Eye’. Hope will finish it soon.

Rampa's I Believe

Yesterday, Finally i finished the book 'I Believe' by
Lopsang Rampa. In that book he wrote about Akashic
Record, Astral Planes ( No Idea before i read that
book) which are some terminologies associated with
human life after death. he told that he wrote about 17
books and 'I Believe' is his 17th book. Today i read
from tha blog, 'You Forever' is his first book. The
blog author explained his interest in Rampa's Writing
style which i too like the most, He told that book
answered some of the intriguing questions in his life.
But i was really amazed by the book and it raised some
interesting questions in my mind which i haven't
thought before. Some interesting fact turned me on. I
was attracted by the way he expressed his opinions
about the world, for e.g his dislike for Women
Liberalization, Communism, Religious controversies. It
will bring the new perspective about the life to each
and every reader. The pendulam concept of the good nad
evil, his opinions about how the doctors should be and
his Golden Age visions are some of the highlights of
the book. Eager to start his next book 'Third Eye'
which describes the teaching process in the Lamasaries
of Tibet.
